  1. The Bush Syndrome. Everything is Bush’s fault. The economy, the environment, terrorists, and the pimple on your ass.

There are a whole range of issues here that you insinuated are Bush’s fault, but I’m going to cover only the global warming part. You’re too far over the edge to even bother with anything else.

No one said that global warming doesn’t exist. It does, but it’s a natural cycle. Solar activity is the main contributor, not man. Other planets have been going through global warming, too. In reality, we have been experiencing global cooling for about a decade now.

Gore makes the claim that rises in CO2 cause the temperature to rise. It is a fact, however, that CO2 rises an average of 800 years after the temperature rises.

I could argue a ton of various facts all day, but it’s not going to solve anything.

I’d just like you to explain one thing. The libs are claiming that there’s a consensus among scientists that man is the cause of global warming. There were 1,000 scientists that had signed on to this, of which only 52 were qualified climatologists. The rest were U.N. beaurocrats and the like. Additionally, over 32,000 actual climatologists have signed a petition stating that man-made global warming is a political hoax.

Let’s just ignore what you and I know about global warming. By those numbers alone, does that sound like a consensus? Gore has repeatedly refused to attend science conventions where he was invited to attend and debate the issue. He claims it’s because global warming is a fact, and he’s not going to debate it. If it’s a fact, why are so many scientists debunking it? That alone says that it needs to be investigated further and not close the book claiming that it’s solved.

Man made global warming is a hoax.

  2. Funny, because the polar bear debate should be defunct. Polar bears have expanded from 5,000 to 25,000….well out of the engdangered species range. They are kept on the endangered list for political reasons, not reality. Drowning because their ice is melting? I’d hate to break it to you, but they’re a little more apt at swimming than we are. Polar bears swim up to 100 miles in search of food without ever touching land. I saw a picture of a polar bear on a large chunk of ice a little ways away from shore…and the caption read that the polar bear was stranded. It was an environmentalists article. You beliefs are not supported by real life facts, but by twisted fantasy and a wish for your lying propaganda to be true.

  3. It’s amazing how many people listen to the talking heads without seeking out the facts. Scientists from all walks – biology, oceanography, meteorology, botany, etc, are finding evidence of severe climactic change. Switzerland and Italy are having to negotiate to redraw their national boundaries. People in Norway, Finland and Denmark are building floating houses because the waters come in higher and higher. If you think immigration is an issue now wait until the ocean starts creeping up over the coasts of Asia and Central America.

The small-town mindset the US has been mired in because of our idiotic past president MUST cease if we are to make progress. Ignorance was bliss – welcome to reality. He screwed our economy and our environment – it’s time to pay the piper. Or would you rather keep passing the buck onto our grandkids? Probably so – must feel good to know you’re dooming your offspring to a lifestyle much worse than your own.

  4. Your self assessment was correct. Do some reading on the size of the icebergs that have been falling off of Antarctica or the fact that for the first time in recorded human history (i.e. thousands of years) there’s an open passageway across the Arctic during the summer. The only thing killing those plants is people….and tell your argument to the polar bears that are drowning because their ice is melting.

  5. I think it’s important to distinguish between net income and cash flow. I’m sure that there’s interest being paid somewhere in there so you have to add in the state’s overall interest rate on the debt it’s probably going to use to finance the thing into your cost basis. You’re also assuming a constant electricity price I’m sure – just wait until the price of coal and natural gas start rebounding again (unless you’re in a regulated market in which case, you’re whining about the govt but then you like that they keep your rates low).

  6. Even after they are kicked out, there will be no money left to reverse the damage. We will owe a lot of money for lousy investments. My state is installing a $40 million dollar solar array that will yield an income of $ 1 million dollars a year. Over a thousand years that amounts to a 2.5% return on investment which is about half of the background inflation rate. Once that $40 million is turned into solar cells, there is very little that can be done to recover the investment. The same is true for bridges to nowhere and roads that are built in places where the normal traffic on them is not high enough to recover the costs via the gas tax.

  7. EXACTLY !! A point I never even thought of. The more CO2 in the air, the more plant life and abundance of oxygen (needed for population boom). Let’s just reduce CO2 to the coming goal of 0% to save the planet and put everyone 6 feet under.

  8. I’m probably being naive in this thinking but since there are many plants on the endangered species list, it seems all this could be stopped – or at least thrown into paralysis – by someone defending the poor helpless endangered plant species that will die because we are reducing the levels of carbon dioxide by these policies.

  9. Yeah, no doubt. The only good thing about it is that it’s a long term goal that leaves us time to kick them out of office and put everything in reverse. Bad thing is that energy supply companies will have to spend a massive amount of money to try to meet standards, which will be transferred to the consumer. Either that or they will buy credits and that will also be transferred to the consumer.

It’s a pipe dream for them to think that wind and solar are going to save the day. It’s not possible.

  10. Well, What now?
Do these retards have no idea how quickly they will be dragged to the guillotine after this shit forces a dramatic reevaluation of our current government?
