FOXNews reports,
A key part of President Obama’s energy plan — replacing fossil fuels with green alternatives — is facing increasing opposition from an unlikely source: environmentalists.
Some environmentalists, who have successfully fought a wind farm on the border of Oregon and Washington, are trying to block a massive solar plant in the Mojave desert. And now an Oregon county is considering a ban on wind power in the foothills of the blue mountains.
“We all want to be as green as we can be. But at what cost?” Richard Jolly of the Blue Mountain Alliance. “To take everything from us? This valley could be surrounded by them.”
In the end it depends on whose Ox is gored. Everyone wants the energy, but no one wants to see the mess it takes to get it — green or not green.
I condemn them all.
This is the mess our government has created with itself by legislating for the sake of driving votes to a party rather than driving the growth and success of the nation as a whole.
If you ran a company and wanted kids to buy your product, you wouldn’t accomplish this by appointing children to the board of directors. You would make the product appeal to kids in whatever way you could that would still allow you to be profitable, and beyond that it’s take it or leave it.
Our elected leaders have chosen the former. They have appointed “mental children” to energy and environmental positions and give undue consideration to any and every childish idea. And not surprisingly instead of ending up with tactful solutions and comprehensive plans, they have ended up with a big room of uninformed and indecisive twits, all having separate temper tantrums over the fact that their random and ridiculous demands are not being met.
At best this country’s energy strategy is the intellectual equal of a game of Candyland. And the major players have the mentality of the average Candyland player. And while the efforts of Steve Milloy and his contemporaries, have created a space for us to set up roadblocks to much of this random nonsense, the fact remains, that there is still a void where a RATIONAL and COMPREHENSIVE forward-looking energy strategy needs to be. And with every passing episode of Romper Room that passes for a meaningful discussion, the whole deal just gets scarier and sadder.
Are there any intelligent rational beings left in this world? Sometimes I wonder…
It’s all about taxes and wealth transfer.
No climate involved. The climate is the guilt trip.
For the real answer- google:
global warming + population control
The Greens would be happy with a lost of 99% of the world’s humans (excluding themselves of course. This the continuation of the “Population Bomb” of the late 60’s.
Politicians in the U.N. have stated that they don’t care if global warming as faulty science. They admitted to wanting to force wealthy nations to dish out massive cash into their hands, and this was how they were going to get it (not quite in those words).
Woops, I mispelled “dam”.
Yeah, that’s the truth. Man made global warming is a scam, at least to the extent it’s being pushed. To tell you how stupid the environmentalists are, there was a new damn being designed to be built in New Orleans years before Hurricane Katrina. The Sierra Club (I believe) sued to have it stopped, and they won because it would effect some bug or something in the marshes. After the hurricane, none other than Al Gore gave a speech to the Sierra Club blaming the flood on George Bush. Not surprisingly, they cheered.
How about an accurate headline?
“GREENS OPPOSE ENERGY”
All living things require energy to live and move. Human progress is in direct proportion to the energy at our disposal. By opposing energy, the greens oppose life itself.
Greens are not misguided idealists. In depriving humans of energy the greens sentence mankind to starve to death in a cold, dark eco-prison. No one is so misguided that this could be unintended.
