Thanks to all who sent e-mails to the Washington Post defending George Will.
Post Ombudsman Andy Alexander wrote about the controversy today noting that the green attack e-mails against Will were “often identical in wording” but they “were soon countered by waves of e-mails defending Will and attacking what may labeled ‘global warming alarmism’.”
Green fanatics are apparently not smart enough to criticize Will on their own — all they can do is repeatedly click the ‘send’ button on comments that have been crafted for them.
Now that the Ombudsman is on the alert,
I’m sure that Juliet Eilperin’s normal doses of hysteria will be thoroughly fact-checked.
I’m also sure I won’t be holding my breath.
Isn’t it also interesting that WaPo didn’t pick up any angles of how one group of people are trying to censor and silence the other. Instead, they made out that everyone is equivalent.
George Will has gravitas. Will can make mince meat out of Global Warming fear-mongering.
Within the Democratic party, Global Warming has been an orthodoxy that does not allow any thoughtful internal discussion. Many Democratic voters presume Global Warming is genuine, on grounds the United Nations has accepted the theory. Mr. Gore and the New York Times report the science is settled.
Mr. Will has the intellect and credibility to challenge purveyors of green koolaid.
