UCalifornia profs warned not to use school resources for personal attacks on President Trump

Wanna-be political activists masquerading as professors should not be using their taxpayer-funded day jobs as a perch from which to spout their politics.

The letter is below.

For more on liberal political activism at the University of California, read the April 2, 2012 report from the National Association of Scholars, “NAS Report “A Crisis of Competence: The Corrupting Effect of Political Activism in the University of California.”

Professor Dennis J. Silverman

Dear Professors Russell and Silverman,

UC professors must not misuse UC resources for political attacks on President Donald J. Trump and his advisors. UC must adhere to underlying state law and must not engage in activities that might violate its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. You can make your political attacks using your own personal resources. Please read the four articles below and realize that you are being watched by those of us who want UC to adhere to its original mission and to not engage in political activism.

Thank you very much for your consideration of my request.

Sincerely yours,

James E. Enstrom, Ph.D.,M.P.H.
