First the GDP downturn, now inflation is popping up.

We could end up with Jimmy Carter stagflation–or is it here already and the administration is unable to suppress the news.

But the MSM is talking up any good news.

We have come to a point where the big lies are everywhere. How’s that hopey changey thing going for you all?

  1. Most people I hear talking about inflation on CNBC say that inflation is not happening. But it is big time.

For example my wife tells me sugar now comes in bags of 4 pounds where it was in 5 pound bags but the price is the same. That is inflation.

Boxes of cereal are smaller but the price is the same. etc

  2. Coach Springer

With a press like this, it’s not so much the administration that’s doing the suppressing. The administration really is leading from behind on that point.

  3. This reminds me of recent complaints in certain quarters that “there is not enough inflation”, something the complainers never bother to explain. Hmph.

Here’s a good article explaining ‘stagflation’, which doesn’t seem very nice: http://economics.about.com/od/useconomichistory/a/stagflation.htm
