We all have less than 17 years to live, children are told

Someone thought it was a good idea to bring in Sir Geldof to speak to young people on climate change.

Sir Bob Geldof: ‘All humans will die before 2030

The musician-turned-activist reckons the world will end in 2030 – leading to the extinction of humankind. Sir Bob, 61, based his miserable prediction on the effects of climate change. “The world can decide in a fit of madness to kill itself,” he told a group of youngsters at a summit in Johannesburg, South Africa…

Despite the dire warnings on climate change, it emerged last month that a million square miles of Arctic seas have frozen in the past year as a new environmental trend takes hold, dubbed “global cooling”. The extraordinary “reverse” of global warming has led to a 60 per cent rise in ice-covered ocean. Just six years ago, some scientists were predicting that all of this ice would have melted away by 2013…. Read more.

  1. Just goes to show you that you should not let drug addled has been’s go about and scare children. Geldof has no capacity left to understand actual science and actual measurements. He just goes out spewing warmist groupthink.

  2. I had idiot teachers as well. They were leftists, but idiot describes them better. In 5th grade (1978) I had a teacher who told us we would all run out of oil by the 1990’s which is OK because she wouldn’t live that long anyway (she had about 5 years to retire)

And then she also told us that it wouldn’t matter for us either, because we would all be killed in a Nuke war before we got out of high school – that would be 1985 – so she would have died with us.

And she wasn’t the only one – just one that stands out in my memory. And I don’t know how many teachers complained at us about Reagan. I don’t know why teachers like to teach the young kids they are doomed.

A bit of an aside but our 8th grade history teacher taught us that the school board was lying about not being able to give big raises to the teachers – because we know the school board can always issue bonds!

Maybe the reason they fall for this doom crap is because these teachers aren’t the brightest bulbs to begin with.

From Smokers Against Discrimination, the unabridged article: “It’s confirmed: The Smoking Ban will be amended. “The government has presented an amend to the Smoking Ban in all places of public access. The amend is expected to pass by a unanimous parliamentary vote next Wednesday. The “Smoke Ban” – as it will now be called- will, among other innovations, force motor vehicle owners to push their cars in and out of garages and mechanical shops, with engines stopped during the maneuver, so as to protect the health of workers inside. It is expected that this reform, will save the lives of the 4,000,000 mechanics and other employees that die each year from inhalation of motor second hand smoke. Also, the “Free Lung” Medical Association, the College of Physicians Against Cancer and Heart Disease and Action on Smoke and Health (ASH), estimate that coronary diseases will be reduced by 300% and the incidence of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) by 615%. On a daring initiative, some parliament members have expressed their desire to further tighten the restrictions on engine use: “People keep telling us that cars are not like tobacco, that people need cars, but that is not entirely true. We propose a blanket ban on the recreational use of vehicles. Vehicles are for real needs, not for pleasure”, they affirmed. They are not alone in demanding decisive action on smoke control, especially to protect children from the harmful habits of adults: “Some parents mindlessly allow children around their barbeques with all that toxic smoke. We demand all sources of carcinogenic PAHs (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) be kept away from children at all times. Those barbequing should wear warning aprons. And if unconscious parents won’t keep their kids away from meat and fat smoke, I say we should take away their kids!”, emphatically declared an ASH supporter. “And don’t drink and barbeque!”, she added. Government surveys indicate that approximately 167% of the population would be in favor of the Smoke Ban for motor vehicles, while a further 115% would favor warning aprons and other restrictions on barbeque use” Excerpt from “How To Fight Antis And Have A Laugh

  4. Fortunately kids have a built in distrust of parents and authority. One can only assume that Darwin favors offspring that do not listen necessarily to their elders… No doubt kids throughout the centuries have had similar misinformation from adults so I would not panic about it too much.

  5. 167% and 115%……those are pretty great odds!! LOL

Stop trying to brainwash our kids, with fear!
