From the new National Academy of Sciences report on climate modeling:
As the scope of climate models has expanded, so has the need to validate and improve them. Enormous progress has been made in the past several decades in improving the utility and robustness of climate models, but more is needed to meet the desires of decision makers who are increasingly relying on the information from climate models.
How does this square with the IPCC being 95% certain that humans are causing global warming?
Defund these useless twits and hire the janitor or any TV weather personality. They certainly couldn’t do any worse.

The desires of decision-makers. In other words, stop fooling around with science and research and get us models that fit our agenda.
National Academy of Sciences just now officially recognizes that the models need improvements in physics, representations of the earth and predictive ability among other things. I thought the science was settled. Sounds like it is just getting started.
