Wife of food nanny Walter Willett complains of his nannying her about eating red meat ‘a couple times a year’

In a paean to Walter Willett, the Boston Globe reports:

Despite Gail’s general embrace of her husband’s food philosophy, she allows herself a few points of departure. “I miss red meat. I’ll have it a couple of times a year,” she says. “We’ll go out and I’ll prepare Walter, saying, ‘I’m in the mood for some lamb.’ He’ll say, ‘There are so many other options.’ But I’ll have it.”

  1. I read as much of the article as I could. I’ not sure whythe food company reps are toadying up to Willett. They have to satisfy their customers, not Willet. If they want to try it following his advice, fine. Every company has the right to fail by not meeting their customer’s wants
