Monitoring by whom? For what purpose? Sounds like spying on the people to me.
The boondoggle was the ridiculous space station.
As always, any program with a nod to “climate science” or “greenhouse gases” is suspect at the door. Space monitoring of resource use and land use can be valuable, so I’ll wait to call the whole thing a boondoggle.
I like to think that I would rather let a project fail than justify it with the chimera of “climate change”. But the question has never come up for me.
