China’s and India’s increased emissions of CO2 are fine. I suspect each country also emits a lot of soot and genuine pollution, though. As they become more wealthy and raise the standard of living for most Chinese and Indians — still a long haul to that point — they’ll be ready to address real pollution issues, I hope.
