All gun shows halted in Maryland county

Another high-crime area making things safer for criminals.

“A decision by a Maryland county is roiling the already contentious debate over potential gun control laws. Prince George’s County’s Department of Parks and Recreation is banning gun shows indefinitely.”

  1. I suppose the Parks Department could decide to keep gun shows out of its own facilities, but how would it have the authority to ban gun shows on private proverty?
Maryland seems to have the DC disease badly. Will it spread to Virginny?

  2. If you read the entire article, you will find that the county is only ending gun shows on county land. Gun shows on private property are still legal and entirely possible, given the land owner is willing.
It’s not that great a loss to gun owners or to dealers. It may end up costing a bit more, but there will be no (less?) politics interfering with the operation, and maybe a little more freedom.

  3. Time to boycott Maryland County. Gun makers and suppliers are already boycotting New York governments.
