But don’t they tax cigarettes while subsidizing tobacco? Makes perfect sense in light of the usual government policies.
Experiment time: Drop ALL subsidies for coal, gas, wind, solar, etc and see which ones are left standing. Anyone?
All subsidies are guilty until proven innocent and the threshhold is very high.
In reply to Reality check, the wind American Wind Energy Association has called for something along the same lines as you are suggesting.
