  1. By the way, I’ve gone along when people hunt the wily skeet. It’s amazing how agile and tricky those clay disks are.

  2. He/they are (again) trying to redefine the issue. He/they want to make the “solution” more palatable to the masses in order to get them to go along with the dismemberment of the 2nd Amendment.

  3. First, I very much doubt that Obama has done much skeet shooting. I’m pretty sure we’d have seen a photo before this — after all Joe Biden spoke of having a pistol and we heard all about Dick Cheney as a hunter. But maybe it’s true.
The Second Amendment is about defending the nation from, if necessary, its own government. It also applies to the natural right of self-defense. Skeet shooting and hunting, like Cowboy Action Shooting, are sports that also have some shelter from the Second Amendment. But remember the real purposes.
I was just thinking that people like Obama are trying to turn guns like the AR-15 into the pit bull of firearms. Pit bulls have done some damage when they’ve been handled improperly. Same with guns. But pit bulls are not inherently vicious animals and ARs are not inherently more dangerous than a Winchester 73.

  4. Maybe he should have a little chat with Dianne about her eagerness to prevent law abiding citizens from protecting themselves.

  5. ‘”Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” he said. “And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations.

“And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake”.’

Another of his bogus, strawman arguments. The 2nd Amendment isn’t about shooting skeet or hunting.
