  1. Good luck with that. We’re still waiting for the Department of Justice’s investigation of the Attorney General’s role in Fast and Furious. Whatever tyrant originated the idea of having politicians investigated by people whose paychecks he controls was an evil mastermind.

  2. Reminds me of the Climategate “investigations”. This announcement is just to shut people up that’s all and we know already what the conclusion will be.
But all the same, you deserve many kudos for bringing this to light Steve.

  3. Congratulations, Mr Milloy ! The world needs more people like you and less of THEM.

  4. A step forward. Let’s hope they don’t send Sergeant Schultz to investigate.

  5. In case you haven’t noticed, it is extremely rare that any government holds itself accountable. Don’t expect the EPA’s Inspector General to find any culpability or punish anyone… At best, someone might be forced to take some bonus vacation time (paid administrative leave). The government is designed to hold us commoners accountable. They are not going to punish other government workers except in the most unusual of situations. No punishments for government wrongdoings means there’s zero incentives to play by the rules.

I would sure like to see the emails about these experiments from the EPA’s secret email accounts, you can bet they are as good as the AWG’s emails discussing the lack of warming.

  7. It is not like me to say this, but this is one case in which I would *rather* have the UN in charge.

  8. Something I’ve been trying to figure out….how does an experiment like the Stanford Prison Experiment pass muster and the EPA experiments not? As I understand them, they would both fail to benefit the study participants other than payment. They both pose significant risk. Am I missing something?

  9. In my book the definition of “Evil” is the willingness to allow people to suffer. By that measure, both the Stanford Prison Experiment and the EPA Gas Chambers are evil.
Having said that, the main difference is: in the SPE, there was no reasonable expectation of permanent harm to any of the participants; the EPA proceeded (and indeed continues) their ‘work’ with the belief that permanent damage to the participants is *inevitable*.

  10. The Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues just released an “ethics study guide” based on its investigation into experiments conducted in Guatamala in the 1940s without the subjects’ consent. President Obama had specifically asked the Commission to investigate the unethical studies.

Do you think Obama will order his Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues to investigate the EPA’s unethical research?

  11. The sad fact remains that Washington is populated by a group of leaders that are beholding to a vast amount of money which reduces the needs and concerns of the middle class to a mere annoyance. The EPA is being manipulated by the progressive (socialists) minority to destroy the US. Anyone who fails to comprehend this truth is either ignorant or evil.

“I like bats much better than bureaucrats. I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of Admin. The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid dens of crime that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern.” LIKE the EPA.
