Better than most local paper coverage. I’m dubious about going all the way from storm intensity of Sandy and hurricanes in general are not linked to climate change – to two declarative sentences undiscussed in a conclusory paragaraph that conflates “unquestionably” with “very likely” that drought magnitude is caused by climate change. The only suppport given for that last paragraph is a tautology that climate affects weather, which is true for storms as well.
The article left plenty of room for AGW blame by Texans in response to their drought pain and not so much for New Yorkers. FTA: ” … the natural reaction of humans is to find someone to blame — be it forecasters, government[, farmers, ranchers, the old oil men,] or in a more nebulous sense, climate change.”
