If you ask renowned IPCC scientists what the mean global temperature is today, they tell you it’s 14.5°C.
And if you ask them what it was 20 years ago, you would expect the answer to be about 14°C. Surprisingly, their literature from 20 years ago tell us unanimously that in 1990 the global temperature was 15.5°C, one degree Celsius more than today. Look at their own charts below
Clearly, the old data need to be ‘adjusted’.
A look at the satellite data (UAH) shows that there’s been about .37C of warming since 1990, and about .45C since 1979 when the sat data started. No drop of 1C since 1990 – check your premises.

I did. Temps did not dip 1C, they rose, and there is nothing wrong with the thermometer temp data – it’s in line with the independently derived data from satellites, even when looking at the raw trends. Before accusing the scientific community of fraud, the author of the source article should have asked a few more questions. Again, check your premises.
Still missed it completely. It’s about reference temperature and whether earth is actually warmer or cooler than “expected”. In the 90s the planet was claimed to be >288 K, now it’s <288 K. When you talk anomaly plus reference and you lower the reference then you are “cooling the planet” whatever temperatures actually do.
