Americans love hamburgers – we each eat an average of three a week. But what are the hidden costs? It turns out that livestock create about as much greenhouse gas pollution as cars, planes and other forms of transport. It also takes a heavy environmental toll on land and water worldwide.   2. Lets see, a Big Mac costs a bit over 4 bucks in the US.

    On Amtrak they charge $9.50 for a hamburger, and it only costs them $16 each to make each one.

    So we can reduce the hidden cost of hamburgers by regulating them with even more red tape and big government. Oh.
