Dr. John Christy, Alabama’s State Climatologist, Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville testified before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works hearing on global warming and stated:

  1. It would have been poor science if he had made such a statement.
    That doesn’t mean he thinks you guys are right, it means that all he’s willing to say is that there is more energy in the atmosphere, and that it is likely to cause more extreme weather events and shifting weather patterns.
    And he’s right.

    • What, James is “anomalous weather”? Are you proposing humans have seen all the “normal weather” since 1750? How about the mesoamerican megadroughts? What of the geological clues we are told about of the monster, far-off scale hurricanes that have apparently occurred before. We have no indications these things were caused by CO2. What makes you apparently think a trace gas drives extreme weather?

  2. I love carbon dioxide. i want more of it in the air. It’s neat. I want to breathe it, to immerse myself in it. I want some monoxide too. Yum
