Over the past several years, the world has been spectator to an alarming meltdown as one serious scandal after another has publicly exposed many of the world’s most prestigious scientific organizations, institutions, and publications as being captives of rigid ideologues who employ rigged computer models, fraudulent “evidence,” censorship, and intimidation to advance a radical “green” political agenda and to squelch genuine scientific inquiry and debate.
Some of the preeminent scientists involved in promoting global-warming alarmism have been disgraced and discredited, after being caught in flagrante in unethical and illegal activities. Even before the 2009 “Climategate” e-mail scandal, many leading scientists who had earlier been true believers in man-made global warming (anthropogenic global warming, or AGW) had begun jumping ship and joining the AGW skeptic side. Since then, the defections have turned into a veritable flood, making this one of the great untold stories of the major establishment media, which continue to trumpet the alarmist propaganda.

Sadly, that’s because a whole lot of you don’t understand how science works. You expect it to be the same as religion, absolutely assured through faith.

Shall we discuss the relative merits of using obscure and insignificant
statistics to try and dispute a growing mountain of data that support the theory of man-made climate change?
That’s not how science works and you well know that.
But this site is a good example of how lobbyists manipulate legislators.
Which explains why very little of any importance gets done.
Climate is by definition statistics. It is merely weather averaged over a long time base. You can’t study climate without using statistics. Also, it does not matter if a statistical technique is obscure (or difficult for you to understand), only that it is valid and correct. If you want to talk about how science is not done then let’s talk about consensus, which is how the warmers push their theories. Or we can talk about using unvalidated and unverified computer models as “data”. But you don’t want to talk about any of that because that would threaten your faith in AGW.

I say we’re in a desert. You bend down and tell me we can’t be in a desert because the sand grains of this shape are almost never found in deserts. But as I look, sand grains are all I see as far as the horizon.

Fortunately for the race of man, natural selection does not favor these people.
This can’t be happening you silly billy because it isn’t happening. Natural selection does favour intelligence which you are missing in spades. Global warming is a natural state for this planet and we know it has happened before. So has climate change. However, silly billy Harold, anthropogenic global warming is a ruse. Try hard to listen, you might learn something.
I have learned.
I took a course in investing, and I learned that if you expect inflation, you invest in hard goods, because the money will be devalued.
But if you expect a recession, you keep a lot of cash because the prices are going to fall, and you can buy things cheaply.

Harold, let me spell it out for you. The “green” movement, and it’s successor, CAGW, are products of hard-core leftist political ideology. When communism collapsed, the hard core base needed a way to try to get their absolute power systems put into place, but they knew they’d never get the “proles” again with the “economics” argument. So they turned to the environment. And what better bogeyman than a harmless, invisible atmospheric gas, especially when they could paper it over with a (Fraudulent) veneer of scientific respectability. The first and strongest “green” leaders in the 20th century were “Crazy Uncle Adolph”, and FDR’s “Uncle Joe” Stalin. They ultimately wanted to purge the Earth of people they didn’t like. That’s the ultimate goal of the CAGW movement and it’s proponents. Absolute power and genocide to create their “people’s utopia”. I’ve devoted most of my adult life to opposing Stalinist/Leninist policies, and just because there’s a believer in the White House doesn’t mean I’m going to stop.
Okay, anyone have any other motive ?

When you need stifle other peoples’ ideas, that’s a sign that you know that your own ideas aren’t all that competitive.
But this site probably isn’t about intellectual honesty, but about money.
As was explained to you earlier Harold ad hominem assaults placed you on moderation. Your only purpose seems to be to attack and offend people, which makes you just another sad troll. We go to a lot of trouble to try to let everyone have their say, even conspiracy cranks like yourself, convinced we are some paid front of [whatever]. Most users manage to engage in civil discourse and can be trusted with the honor system of one moderated comment to demonstrate they are actual users and not spam bots and then open posting but you are one of the rare examples of commenters who can not be trusted. Pretty sad really. It took you just days to destroy a trust that will take months to rebuild despite being warned along the way.
Parenthetically, if it becomes too work-intensive to review and edit the casual aspersions out of your posts then the expedient thing for moderators is to simply move you from “moderated” to “banned”.
