New Article On Wind Turbines For Electric Power Generation

Decisions to install large-scale wind-powered electricity generation are based more on the expectation to save significant amounts of fossil fuel and CO2 emission than on any evidence that this is indeed the case.

Wind technology is not suited for large-scale application without a good buffer and storage system. We propose to stop spending public money on large-scale use of wind. This money should be spent on R&D of future power systems. We expect that wind will not play an important role in these future systems.

  1. “We propose to stop spending public money on large-scale use of wind. This money should be spent on R&D of future power systems.”

Here’s a fresh idea: how about just not spending the money at all?

Research on future power systems should be conducted in the future.

  2. As long as the sun shines, we will always have wind. If the sun quits shinning, we’ve got bigger problems than bigging wind turbines. Just think, without wind turbines….. we wouldn’t have the TV show “turbine cowboys” LOL…..microman

  3. It’s maddening to bike around the countryside and see massive fields of those damn ugly “bird grinders”. Like sex, they are exorbitantly expensive, offer only transitory benefit and look supremely stupid.
