Nicola Scafetta: The Theory Is Very Simple

Nicola Scafetta is a scientist at Duke University and at the Active Cavity Radiometer Solar Irradiance Monitor Lab which is associated with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.

He claims that “at least 60% of the warming of the Earth observed since 1970 appears to be induced by natural cycles which are present in the solar system.” As his theory is controversial, we asked him to outline it. For the near future he predicts a stabilisation of global temperature or cooling until 2030-2040.

  1. I appears that some alarmist has placed a hex on the GWPF site with a WOT warning. How do we get it removed?

  2. Eric Baumholer

Put ‘at least, ‘appears to be’ and ’60% ‘ together and you get something roughly ten percent away from being purely random.

    • While there is an element of underlying truth to your assertion, it’s still better than the CAGW argument that “…because a deeply flawed and irrelevant computer model says so…”

In this case, at least he appears to be shooting for something that looks a lot like science, and encouraging the discussion and further research. That’s exactly like science, unlike the other argument.
