Bet you never expected this: we agree with Greenpeace!

Well, actually they agree with us, kind of: “Greenpeace rejects carbon capture funding – Environment group Greenpeace says governments are wasting public money on carbon capture and storage (CCS) research.” And that is absolutely true. CCS is one of the most pointless enterprises ever undertaken. It can not do as its advocates claim and simply wastes finance and energy denying the biosphere a necessary resource.

Sadly Greenpeace does not have such a rational grasp.

Carbon capture and storage is the process through which emissions from power stations would be captured and then stored underground to reduce carbon pollution.

The Victorian and federal governments have invested millions of dollars into CCS research.

However, Greenpeace says the collapse of CCS projects overseas and in Australia shows the technology is commercially unviable.

Greenies are against everything, including all of its alternatives.

  2. CCS allows the continued use of fossil fuels. Greenpeace is opposed to all fossil fuel use. Of course they’re opposed. Even if there way a way to make CCS commercially viable, Greenpeace would be opposed, simply because they want to turn off the lights, not find a way to keep them on. Anti-human is the only way to describe them.
