Next up on the U.N.’s ever-growing agenda — getting the U.S. to return Mount Rushmore to Native Americans. Is there nothing too trivial for this feckless global organization to stick its nose into?
James Anaya, the U.N.’s so-called “special rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples,” wants — no joke — the U.S. to give Mount Rushmore back to the Sioux tribes who once lived near it.
Anaya elaborated on this last Friday in Geneva: “I’m talking about restoring to indigenous peoples what obviously they’re entitled to and they have a legitimate claim to in a way that is not divisive but restorative.”
But why stop there? Heck, why not give it all back?
Preposterous, sure. But that’s the perverse logic followed these days by the U.N.’s corrupt leftist bureaucrats, who let ideology, not reason, dictate their actions.
So it’s hard to see why the U.S. let Anaya come on a 12-day fact-finding mission to the U.S. in the first place.
What concerns us most about this isn’t its transparent stupidity. We’re used to that from government. No, what concerns us is what this says about the U.N.’s hunger for power, its utter disregard for waste, and its ongoing war against the country that funds it — the U.S.

Anyone remember the John Birch Society with their impeach Earl Warren and Get Us out of the UN billboards? Wonder if they are saying “See, we told you” about the UN.
