They both agree in this video that the ignorance in climatology research of climate change is vast.
They also talk about the “climategate” leak of e-mails that allegedly proves they were purposely trying to hide results that counter their claims.

First, it’s great that these two people who can intelligently argue the case for and against climate changer are interviewed head to head. And oddly enough, it even seems the editing and the cuts for close ups almost favored John Christy to make his point. I may regain a bit more faith in CNN going forward and I look forward to more exchanges like this between experts.
This video was aired right after Climategate 1.0 and the most telling aspect was the line of questioning by Blitzer who was too fixated on Al Gore and the Arctic. I don’t understand why Christy just didn’t explain to him that the Arctic was ice free in summers for much of the early Holocene and why is Al Gore pretending ice melt this is unprecedented? Gavin wasn’t any better than Christy it was a nothing debate.
Leaked? Excuse me but the proper term is stolen. Stolen by identity thief, Peter Gleick (soon to be convict Gleick, I hope.)
It disturbs me to see Christy’s tepid responses here.
I would stomp all over Gavin and leave him with nothing to say.
Gavin will slip past any logic. That is why he has the lead voice at RC. Slippery as in slime. At least Christy tried to bring some facts into the discussion.
Telling Gavin he a fraud and proceeding to prove it will get his attention. At RC, he just deletes posts he doesn’t like.
Watching him turn white then red on TV would mean something to people.
Sometimes over the years I have read the turning red in his comments at RC.
It is good to see you are still around, Brian!
I have been working on a study to show, that even if the atmospheric greenhouse effect is true the situation cannot remain stable.
No editors want to publish my stuff, but I refuse to do the “publish yourself on arXiv then yell about it” gig
I’ve heard enough of the “only bozos and fakes can’t publish in the real literature” stuff
