The Heartland Institute today released more evidence that Pacific Institute President Peter Gleick was the likely author of a fake “climate strategy memo” that Gleick originally claimed came from a “Heartland insider,” and later said he received “in the mail” from an anonymous source.

This is worth reading again, but this ‘new evidence’ is over a month old. The newer news is that Gleick’s supporters are saying that his wire fraud and subsequent libel were justified in light of the need to attack ‘climate deniers’, and that the US EPA tried to cover up its funding of Gleick. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for the results of an ‘independent investigation’ into Gleick’s behavior. Which actually shouldn’t require more than 30 minutes, plus two hours to write the report, and three days of committee meetings, re-drafts, and file-shredding to complete.
