The inequities and injustices that are likely to occur on a global level because of climate change mean that world leaders must carefully examine the moral and ethical dimensions of global warming, said Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri, chairman of the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
“When the IPCC’s fifth assessment comes out in 2013 or 2014, there will be a major revival of interest in action that has to be taken,” said Dr. Pachauri, speaking of the periodic assessments rendered by the group of more than 400 scientists around the world that he leads. “People are going to say, ‘My God, we are going to have to take action much faster than we had planned.’”
If it’s so dire right now why wait for the assessment report to come out?
Hopefully the media will have wised up to the mood of the people by then and will relegate it’s mention to the back page.
Doubling down on stupid. Pachauri is just following the UN party line supporting Agenda 21 and the take over of world governance by the unelected jerkwads in Turtle Bay.
The UN does no good for the western world and actively promotes policies that are disastrous to us. Funding must be immediately cut off and they need to be labelled a terrorist group along with any environmental outfits. That’s the only way to throw off these green shackles that we’ve allowed them to put us in. Then we can prosper again.

People (especially warmists) tend to ignore where the ‘I’ in IPCC comes from. It comes from the word ‘intergovernmental’. This is a political body, not a scientific body. Consider: the head of this body is a railroad engineer, whose affluence is derived from unidentifiable sources. If the IPCC were a scientific body, it would be headed by a scientist with at least one credential.
I know Pachauri since the 1990ies from personal correspondence and reports. My Impression: he never was somthing else than a well connected charlatan, just not to say outright crook.
