  1. If you actually read all the way through the piece that you linked to – you will see that there is consensus on increased climate extremes.

    • That would be pertinent – if the universe obeyed consensus opinion. If you have a look at the newly release IPCC SREX, however, you’ll find the consensus is a profound “no indication”. The physics of global warming are such that it must manifest as increase in the boundary layer altitude and/or broadening of the tropical and temperate zones, thus reducing temperature gradients and, as most schoolboys should know, the steeper the temperature gradient the more violent the potential storms. Theoretically extreme weather events should decrease with a warmer climate.
