For a while, the European Commission considered banning the use of environmentally unfriendly plastic bags.
But given the potential legal problems and threat to thousands of jobs, Brussels is now looking for ways to make single-use bags less attractive. The plastic bag as we know it could be getting a lot more expensive.
Schitzoid bunch of idiots. The want the reduce global warming gases. The bags are made from ‘waste’ gas that refineries used to burn off on the stack. Now those ‘bad’ gases are used to make the platic bags that are then buried in the land fills squestering the gases.
But…. (rev. 32) the platic bags are evil because [fill in the blank with your favorite], so we must stop making them…. leading to thousands of tons of ‘bad’ gases being burned off on the stacks across the planet creating thousands of tons of global warming gases.
I’m confused. Anyone got the program flyer for this Klimate Kabuki? I seem to have misplaced mine.
