CHRIS UHLMANN, PRESENTER: Mining does add billions to the national accounts, but some of the billionaires it makes have been on the receiving end of a tongue lashing from the Treasurer in recent days. In an extraordinary attack, Wayne Swan took aim at three of the richest tycoons in Australia: Andrew Forrest, Gina Rinehart and Clive Palmer. The Treasurer says they’re poisoning public debate ,and risking the Aussie “fair go” by using their wealth to push their own interests. What a lack of common decency the Australian labor mpovement has when it allows itself to be run by this idiot.
However I am confident that the labor governments days are well and truely numbered – I would like to think that the present USA administrations days were also numbered but to get rid of it you have to have a viable replacement and quite honestly looking at the politicall scene from the outside it does not appear that the Republicans have anything viable to replace it with!
