Gaston County leaders have made it clear they have their guard up against “sustainable growth” and other concepts they believe will threaten American principles.
The county’s all-Republican, seven-member board of commissioners on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution “to heighten awareness of United Nations Agenda 21’s impact on communities in the United States.” The action pegs Agenda 21 as a “comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering and global political control.” It seeks to raise a red flag about what the commissioners see as a looming menace.
