Australian Government takes economic advice from the Wish Fairy
Seriously: “indirect costs will be much lower as the full cost of the carbon tax price will not be passed on by suppliers of electricity or other components” So the Australian Government believes electricity and other suppliers are not in business to make profits and can survive simply absorbing the cost of this absurd green tax. Strangely enough State Governments (the major owners of generating and transmission assets) insist power generators make ever-larger profits which are transferred to State revenues (a more voter-palatable form of hidden taxation).
As a side note there is far greater demand for tumbrils in the land down-under than there is for EVs and prior to being purchased by GM Holden had experience building wagon and coach bodies… Continue reading
