  1. I get the feeling we are approaching the concluding chapter of a Classical story about a humble shepherd who discovered that sounding the alarm about a great threat to the community earned him much commendation and praise, until the threat repeatedly failed to materialize.
    I believe the author of the story was Aesop.
    It is a marvelous story, but it would never make a good movie. The ending is quite anti-climactic.
